He sent me this link and told me about your new pet. Have you seen a series (i think pbs aired it) called animal einstein?
Alex (the grey parrot) was in it and was able to identify shapes and materials in plain english. Then he supposedly- somehow learned to ask questions on his own-crazy

I haven’t seen it but I’ve read a lot about Alex and seen the interviews Dr. Pepperberg has had on TV. I’m going to be attempting the same kind of training with Linus.
